In the 752 key sections under monitoring in the seven key river systems in 2005, the water quality of Grade I ~III accounts for 29.5%. The water quality of Grade IV accounts for 17.7%. Grade V and worse than Grade V accounts for 52.8%. In the 154 national level controlling sections in the mainstreams of the seven key river systems, the sections with Grade I~III water quality account for 50.6%; Grade IV accounts for 26.0% and Grade V and worse than Grade V account for 23.4%. The water quality in the mainstreams of the river systems is better than that in the branched. The order of the pollution for serious level to light level in the seven key river systems in 2005 is: Hai River, Liao River, Huai River, Huang River, Song Hua River, Yangtze River and Pearl River. Compared with the previous year, the order of the pollution level remained same and the pollution extent is quite close.

As the extending of our business, we are entering into coal and gas areas.
Encouraging achievements have been obtained from the exploration of coal bed gas in China.
In many areas, an industrial breakthrough has been made in exploation and development tests, and large scale coal bed gas fields have been discovered. But there exists technical problems and different opinions to the exploration and development which mainly reflect the influence from the gelogic conditions of coal bed gas.
From the geologic conditions which affect the exploration of coal bed gas， our professer studied the mineability of coal bed gas resources and considered that the area whose coal bed gas resources can be developed by the drainage gas-collecting method is limited at the present．
This is mainly controlled by the mineability of coal bed gas. The mineability of coal bed gas mainly depends on coal texture, formation pressure and hydrogeologic conditions.
Three hydrogeologic types of coal bed gas and their distributive regions were suggested for the first time, different influence caused by different hydrogeologic types to the mineability of coal bed gas was analysed, and the prospect to the comprehensive exploration and development of coal bed gas was discussed.
Also, we can give some advises to the later exploration work of coal bed gas.
